About Hedgerow
Hedgerow began in 2011 in a garden shed, with a shoebox, a heat pad and a neighbour who had found a hoglet in the road. Today we are a small hospital with an intensive-care room, a rehabilitation barn and 14 volunteers, treating more than 1,800 hedgehogs a year.
What we do
- Treat sick, injured and underweight hedgehogs
- Rear orphaned hoglets by hand, every three hours
- Release every hedgehog we can back where it was found
- Teach people how to make their gardens hedgehog-friendly
Where the money goes
92p of every £1 goes directly on care. We do not get statutory funding: everything here is paid for by people like you.
Hedgerow Wildlife Hospital is fictional and this is a demo site.
